Church Schedule/Drive-In Services:

Church Family,

By now I am sure you know that Governor Roy Cooper has begun a 3 phase plan to reopen North Carolina from the COVID-19 pandemic. In his plan, churches will be able to reopen in phase 2 as long as they practice social distancing and virus mitigation strategies. Phase 2 is still weeks away.

As I (Pastor Jonathan) have met and discussed with our deacons, we believe that the best strategy for our church is to move to drive-in services in our parking lot at LWBC. This will allow the largest amount of our congregation to attend weekly worship while avoiding the logistical difficulties that arise with immediately having services in the facilities. Also, the drive-in services can begin almost immediately without having to wait on phase 2 of the Governor’s plan.

Our first drive-in service will be on Sunday, May 17th at 10:15 AM in the parking lot of LWBC. We are planning on the service lasting about 30-35 minutes as we know some of you (myself included) have small children with short attention spans. We will record the service and air it on Facebook for those who still feel they should stay home.

We have one big need for the drive-in services as of right now. Phil Thompson, our deacon chair, will be organizing volunteers who can help us park cars 6′ apart to practice social distancing. If you are able and willing, please reach out to Phil at

For now, we plan on having several drive-in services to give us time to watch the Governor’s plan for reopening unfold. We want to make sure we comply with the authorities as well as keep our church family safe. If you have further questions, please reach out to Pastor Jonathan.

Giving & Church Finances:

As our church worship services are currently suspended per the Governor’s office, we encourage all members and attenders to remain faithful in their giving to the church. The ministry of our church, support of gospel missionaries, charity ministries and other functions of the church will continue through this time. You can access our secure online giving portal through this website’s giving page by clicking here. Instructions for giving by check have been emailed to the membership. If you have any questions please ask Pastor Jonathan or one of our deacons. Our church staff and leadership are committed to curtailing all non-essential spending until things return to normal and we can begin church services again.

We understand that during this time of difficulty some of you may have physical needs the church can help with. You may be a senior adult who needs a church member to pick up and deliver groceries. We may even have members that experience financial hardship. Please let one of our deacons know if you have a specific need we can meet. Also, understand that we may not be able to meet all requests.
